Gears of War: E-Day confirmed for Oct 6, 2026 as Xbox and PC exclusive, no PS5 release

Microsoft unveiled the pre‑quel Gears of War: E‑Day at the Xbox Games Showcase, revealing the first gameplay footage and announcing an October 6, 2026 launch. The title, set 14 years before the original series, follows Marcus Fenix and Dominick Santiago during the planet Sera's first Emergence Day, and will run on Unreal Engine 5.

The game will be exclusive to Microsoft platforms – Xbox Series X/S and PC – and will also be available through Xbox Game Pass. Xbox head Asha Sharma confirmed it will not be released on PlayStation 5, and pre‑order packages will offer early beta access and exclusive skins.
