Gears of War: E-Day goes gold ahead of October launch

The Coalition has announced that Gears of War: E-Day has gone gold, marking the completion of development. Pre-installation for the title is scheduled to begin on September 29 for Xbox Series X|S, PC, and Steam.

The official worldwide launch will take place on October 6. Players who purchase the Premium Edition will receive early access starting October 1. The game will also be available on day one for Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass subscribers.

Set 14 years before the original Gears of War, the story follows young Marcus Fenix and Dominic Santiago during the Locust invasion. For PC players, recommended specifications include a GeForce RTX 5060 or equivalent, a Ryzen 5 5600 processor, 16GB of RAM, and 115GB of SSD storage. A ray-tracing-capable graphics card and a solid-state drive are required.
