Gebze Municipality installs AED devices in high-traffic areas

Gebze Municipality has launched an initiative to install Automated External Defibrillator (AED) devices in high-traffic areas to combat sudden cardiac arrest. The project aims to provide critical intervention capabilities during the vital window before emergency medical teams arrive on the scene.

Planned locations for the devices include the 15 July National Will City Square, Gebze Cultural Center, Gebze Intercity Bus Terminal, Gebze Millet Bahçesi, various indoor market areas, and municipal service buildings. Local health officials noted that while they hope the devices are never needed, having them readily available ensures that life-saving electrical shocks can be administered if a citizen's heart rhythm requires it.
