Nevşehir Health Facility Launch Aims to Boost Economy and Education
A launch ceremony for a new health investment in Nevşehir was attended by regional officials including Nevşehir Governor Hüseyin Kök, Kayseri Governor Gökmen Çiçek, Deputy Minister of Culture and Tourism Gökhan Yazgı, several AK Party deputies and the mayor of Nevşehir. The project is intended to strengthen the local economy and infrastructure while providing a modern venue for applied medical education.
Kapadokya University, which operates in the region, currently serves more than 12,000 students and has produced over 17,000 graduates. Officials highlighted the facility’s role in diversifying health tourism and improving the quality of health‑sector services.
The investment reflects a collaboration between public authorities, the university and other institutions, aiming to create lasting benefits for the city’s economic development and health‑care capacity.
