gedatec trade fair debuts in Berlin for building technology

The gedatec trade fair has premiered in Berlin, serving as a cross-sector platform for building technology, including electrical, sanitary, heating, cooling (SHK), and roofing trades. The event features over 330 exhibitors across six halls, marking a significant expansion in scale compared to previous industry events.

At the fair, the Central Association for Sanitary, Heating and Air Conditioning (ZVSHK) is highlighting digital transformation through various research projects. These include ‘Construct-X’, a major European digitalization project in the construction industry, and ‘MEISTERWÄRME’, which is developing a voice-controlled AI assistant for heating maintenance.

Additionally, the ZVSHK is focusing on the growing demand for barrier-free and care-oriented bathrooms due to demographic changes. Digital solutions are being presented to help tradespeople create more efficient and transparent offers for these specialized sanitary installations.
