Gedeon Burkhard discusses joining ‘Promi Big Brother’

Actor Gedeon Burkhard has addressed his participation in the reality television show ‘Promi Big Brother’. In an interview, the 57-year-old former ‘Kommissar Rex’ star revealed that he accepted the role during a professional crisis characterized by a lack of acting offers.

Burkhard noted that his career saw a decline in roles following the COVID-19 pandemic. He stated that financial considerations played a significant role in his decision, noting that ‘the financial aspect was at least 50 percent of the decision’ and adding, ‘I am old and I need the money!’

Despite the financial motivation, Burkhard clarified that he is not bankrupt and can afford his rent. He views the reality show as an opportunity to show the public a different, more mature side of himself.
