Gediz Elektrik schedules power outages across Izmir districts in July

İzmir’s electricity distributor Gediz Elektrik announced planned network maintenance that will cause scheduled power cuts in the province on two separate dates. On 11 July 2026, outages will affect 16 districts, including Aliağa, Bergama, Bornova, Dikili, Foça, Karaburun, Karşıyaka, Kiraz, Menemen, Seferihisar, Torbalı, Urla, Buca, Balçova, Narlıdere and Karabağlar, with interruption times ranging from early morning to late afternoon. On 13 July 2026, cuts are planned for 12 districts such as Aliağa, Bayındır, Bornova, Çeşme and others, with specific streets and time windows listed by the operator.

The cuts are described as necessary for grid renewal and maintenance work. Residents in the named neighbourhoods will experience temporary loss of electricity during the specified hours, and Gediz Elektrik provided detailed street‑by‑street schedules to minimise inconvenience.
