Geekom and ASUS Unveil New AI-Enabled Mini-PCs

Geekom introduced the A9 Max 2026 mini‑PC, built around an AMD Ryzen AI9 HX470 12‑core processor, 32 GB DDR5 RAM, a 2 TB PCIe‑4.0 SSD and an integrated Radeon 890M graphics chip. The device offers extensive connectivity—including USB‑4, dual HDMI 2.1, two 2.5 G LAN ports, Wi‑Fi 7 and Bluetooth 5.4—and can drive up to four 4K displays or one 8K panel. It also contains an on‑board NPU for local AI workloads, but ships with a single‑channel RAM configuration that limits graphics performance; testing showed a notable FPS boost after upgrading to dual‑channel memory.

ASUS released the ExpertCenter PN54‑S1, a business‑focused mini‑PC using AMD Ryzen 200‑series CPUs (Ryzen 3, 5 or 7 Zen‑4), up to 64 GB RAM and an integrated Radeon 780M GPU. It includes an AI NPU capable of up to 16 AI TOPS, six USB ports, multiple display outputs for up to four 4K monitors, and security features such as a fingerprint sensor, fTPM 2.0 and optional dedicated TPM. The aluminum chassis meets MIL‑STD‑810H durability standards for 24/7 operation. Pricing starts at €441 for the barebone model, with fully‑spec'd versions up to €1 373, and the system is available in Germany, Austria and Switzerland.
