Geely advances electric mobility with new hybrid SUV and integrated drive system
Geely is expanding its presence in the smart mobility and electric vehicle sectors through new technological developments and regional showcases. At the AutoShow Guayaquil 2026 in Ecuador, the company highlighted the Geely Starray EM-i, a plug-in hybrid SUV (PHEV). This model features a combined range of 1,000 km and incorporates advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) and intelligent connectivity.
On a technical level, Geely has introduced the 16-in-1 Intelligent E-Drive system. This integrated electric propulsion system combines twelve hardware functions and four software layers into a single 75-kilogram housing. By consolidating components such as the electric motor, controller, and thermal management, the system eliminates over 180 components compared to conventional architectures, reducing weight by 15% and increasing power density.
