Geely announces Monjaro EM-i hybrid SUV for global launch

Geely has announced the Monjaro EM-i, its first hybrid D-segment SUV designed for global markets. The vehicle is scheduled to begin its global rollout in late August, with Egypt serving as the initial launch market. Following the Egyptian debut, the model is expected to expand into European markets, including the United Kingdom.

Built on the Global Intelligent New Energy Architecture (GEA) Evo platform, the Monjaro EM-i features EM-i Super Hybrid technology, a plug-in hybrid powertrain. It is also the first of Geely’s overseas models to incorporate the Xingrui Intelligent large language model, the Flyme Auto infotainment system, and an e-AWD intelligent electric all-wheel drive system.

The Monjaro name is inspired by Mount Kilimanjaro. While the Monjaro brand is used for international markets, the vehicle will be known as the Xingyue L Plus in China.
