Geely Auto announces 2027 Canada entry and expands global footprint

Geely Auto has officially announced its entry into the Canadian market, with the first vehicle sales scheduled to begin in 2027. The company is currently establishing local operations and building a retail and service network across the country. This expansion follows a trade agreement between Canada and China that replaced a 100% tariff on Chinese-made electric vehicles with a 6.1% tariff for an annual quota of 49,000 units.

In Australia, Geely has reached a significant milestone by opening its 100th dealership in Mandurah, Western Australia, within just 18 months of its market launch. The brand has seen rapid growth in the Australian electric vehicle sector, driven by models such as the EX5 electric SUV.

Additionally, Geely Auto Group has launched the Zhanjian 700 in China, its first electrified off-road flagship SUV built on the dedicated GTA architecture. The model is designed to balance off-road capability with everyday driving comfort and efficiency.
