Geely Holding to integrate Google services in global vehicles

Geely Holding Group has entered a global strategic partnership with Google to integrate Google Automotive Services into its vehicle portfolio. Starting in the second half of 2027, eligible models in markets outside of China and the United States will feature built-in digital tools, including Google Maps, Google Play, and the Gemini AI assistant.

The collaboration aims to enhance the digital cockpit experience by providing advanced voice interaction, navigation, and seamless cross-device connectivity. The rollout will expand across several Geely-managed brands, including Geely, Lynk & Co, Proton, Riddara, and Smart.

Shen Yuan, Geely Holding’s senior vice president and chief technology officer, noted that the partnership addresses increasing consumer demand for in-car connectivity that matches the fluidity of everyday consumer electronics. The deployment remains subject to regulatory requirements and market readiness.
