Geely launches Monjaro EM-i flagship plug-in hybrid SUV

Geely has launched its new flagship plug-in hybrid SUV, the Monjaro EM-i, with a global debut centered in Egypt. The model is being introduced to the Egyptian market through Abou Ghaly Motors as part of a major marketing campaign featuring actor Ahmed El Saadany.

The Monjaro EM-i features a 1.5-liter four-cylinder gasoline engine paired with dual electric motors, producing a combined output of 410hp and 723Nm of torque. It utilizes an e-AWD system with various driving modes, including Off-Road, Sand, and Snow. The vehicle offers an electric-only range of 116km and a total combined range of approximately 1,095km. Charging capabilities include DC fast charging from 30% to 80% in 15 minutes.

In the Philippines, the Monjaro EM-i Luxury variant has received homologation from the Land Transportation Office, signaling an expected arrival next month. The Philippine model includes advanced driver aids such as adaptive cruise control, lane-keep assist, and a 540-degree panoramic view.
