Geely launches Monjaro EM-i hybrid SUV in Egypt

Geely Auto has officially launched the Monjaro EM-i plug-in hybrid SUV in Egypt, marking the beginning of a global rollout for its first hybrid D-SUV. The vehicle is built on the GEA Evo global intelligent new-energy architecture and utilizes the EM-i Super Hybrid system, which pairs an electric drive with a dedicated 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engine.

The Monjaro EM-i is approximately 4.8 metres long with a 2,845mm wheelbase. The Ultra AWD flagship variant is capable of accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h in 5.83 seconds. Following its debut in Cairo, Geely plans to expand the model's availability to markets including the UAE, Mexico, Kazakhstan, the UK, and Europe.

This international expansion comes as overseas markets become a primary growth driver for Geely. The company reported that its exports reached 474,228 vehicles in the first half of the year, representing a 157.6% increase compared to the previous year.
