Geely to manufacture hybrid and combustion vehicles in Algeria

Chinese automaker Geely is preparing an industrial project to manufacture vehicles in Algeria. The plan involves a multi-stage production process, starting with internal combustion engine passenger cars and compact SUVs. Within five years, the company intends to transition to producing hybrid vehicles.

The proposed factory will utilize an automated production system, including robotic workshops for welding and painting. Geely also plans to facilitate technology transfer and training for Algerian engineers and technicians to increase local integration rates. The project is expected to begin production within six months of receiving final official authorizations from Algerian authorities.
