GeForce RTX 5090 pushed to 15‑20 fps by new Unreal Engine 5.7 stress test
A new benchmark called Nukemark, built on Unreal Engine 5.7, has been released in early‑access on Steam. The test leverages the engine’s full feature set—including Nanite, Lumen, Megalights and 8K textures—to demand extreme GPU resources. According to its developers, a GeForce RTX 5090 can only manage 15 to 20 frames per second in the most demanding scenes, while the benchmark can consume up to 15 GiB of VRAM, challenging lower‑end cards such as the RTX 4070, RTX 3080, RX 7700 XT and others.
The release highlights the limits of current high‑end graphics hardware and provides a more realistic stress environment than traditional synthetic tools like 3DMark or FurMark. It is intended for enthusiasts to compare performance and stability across the latest GPU generation.
