GEK TERNA and AKTOR ranked among top 100 global construction firms
According to Deloitte’s seventh annual ‘Global Powers of Construction 2025’ report, two Greek construction groups, GEK TERNA and AKTOR, have been ranked among the 100 largest publicly traded construction companies worldwide.
In a year where the total revenue of the top 100 global groups saw a marginal decline of 0.4%, the two Greek firms recorded combined sales of $5.936 billion in 2025, representing a 21.8% increase in dollar terms compared to 2024. GEK TERNA secured the 70th position with total sales of $4.359 billion, a 24% increase from the previous year. AKTOR ranked 94th, with sales of $1.577 billion, marking a 16.2% annual increase.
The combined market capitalization of both groups reached $5.324 billion, an increase of 77.4% in dollar terms and 68.4% in local currency compared to 2024. The Deloitte study highlights that while the sector faces macroeconomic uncertainty and supply chain difficulties, growth opportunities are being driven by urbanization, infrastructure investments, and the energy transition.
