Gela: Forza Italia proposes tax relief for Third Sector Entities

Forza Italia has proposed that the municipality of Gela introduce specific tax relief for Third Sector Entities (ETS) regarding TARI waste tax notices. The proposal suggests amending the TARI regulation to provide reductions or total exemptions for properties used by organizations registered in the RUNTS for general interest activities, such as social assistance, culture, sports, and education. However, the proposal excludes spaces used for commercial activities.

Given Gela’s current financial distress procedure, Forza Italia emphasized that any tax relief must be accompanied by a precise quantification of the resulting revenue loss and a plan for full financial coverage to ensure service costs are met. The party is calling on the municipal administration to prepare a regulatory modification for submission to the City Council to support these community resources.
