Gelderland emergency services respond to multiple overnight incidents

Multiple emergency incidents were reported across the Gelderland province in the Netherlands during the night of Thursday to Friday.

In Nijmegen, police discovered a deceased person on Tollensstraat; an investigation into the cause of death and the individual's identity is ongoing. In Arnhem, a parked car at Kortlandplaats was heavily damaged by fire around 02:40, and a fire also broke out at a firefighter training center on Westervoortsedijk.

Other incidents included a vehicle lost to fire at Nijeveld in Ede around 01:45, and a high-impact collision between two cars at the intersection of Scharrenburgersteeg and Barneveldseweg in Lunteren. In the Lunteren crash, one vehicle ended up in a field and the other in a ditch, though neither driver was reported to have sustained serious injuries. Additionally, a house fire occurred on Engweg in Heerde around 22:15.
