Zutphen warehouse fire destroys 40x10 m building, police arrest casino robbery suspects

On the night of 25‑26 May 2024 a large fire completely destroyed a 40 by 10 metre warehouse on Marsweg in Zutphen, Netherlands. The blaze prompted a fire‑master alarm at 03:00 and generated thick smoke that drifted toward Brummen before the fire was fully extinguished.

In the same period, Dutch police arrested two suspects in connection with an armed robbery at a casino in Apeldoorn, and reported a series of other traffic incidents and minor accidents across Gelderland and Overijssel. The causes of the Zutphen fire and the other incidents are under investigation.
