GELİDONYA Team competes in Norway's autonomous ship challenge

The GELİDONYA Team, representing Turkey, is competing in the ‘Njord – The Autonomous Ship Challenge’ held in Trondheim, Norway. The competition focuses on maritime technologies, autonomous systems, and engineering, where student teams are evaluated on autonomous movement, maneuvering, safe navigation, docking, and technical infrastructure.

The team’s participation follows their success at TEKNOFEST 2025, where they secured second place in the Unmanned Surface Vehicle competition out of 284 participating teams. Developed at the Deneyap Technology Workshop in Elazığ, their fully autonomous unmanned surface vessel is now being showcased on an international stage.
