Gelsenkirchen police conduct large-scale security operation

Police in Gelsenkirchen conducted a large-scale operation on Tuesday, September 22, to increase visibility and ensure street safety. The initiative involved various uniformed and civilian officers, alongside municipal order and traffic services, operating between 4:00 PM and 11:00 PM.

During the operation, authorities inspected approximately 150 vehicles and performed 175 identity checks. The focus was on maintaining control, open communication, and interaction with citizens. The results included four traffic-related criminal complaints, three narcotics violations, and over 35 fines. Additionally, two vehicles—a Mercedes and a BMW—were impounded due to suspected illegal exhaust tuning.
