Gema Montecatini defeats Brindisi in Trofeo Carlo Lovari

Gema Montecatini secured third and fourth place in the Trofeo Carlo Lovari by defeating Brindisi with a score of 81-77. The match, held at the Palatagliate in Lucca, was a closely contested game characterized by frequent scoring runs from both sides.

The victory was largely attributed to a decisive six-point scoring streak by American player Barnett in the final moments of the game. Montecatini, led by coach Nicola Brienza, managed to overcome Brindisi despite a strong performance from Brindisi's Caroti, who hit crucial three-pointers to keep the game competitive.

Montecatini is scheduled to continue its preseason preparations in Sardinia next week, with matches against Sassari set for September 10 and September 12.
