Gemelli Hospital hosts exhibition on CAR-T therapy patient stories

The traveling photography exhibition ‘Da qui in avanti. Sei storie, un viaggio che ricomincia’ has arrived at the Policlinico Universitario Agostino Gemelli in Rome. The project highlights the experiences of patients facing hematological tumors and the future prospects offered by CAR-T cell therapies.

Through visual storytelling, the exhibition features the journeys of patients such as Aurelia, who was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia in 2016 and found new hope through CAR-T therapy after traditional treatments failed, and Luigi, who underwent the same therapy in early 2024 following a diagnosis in 2020.

Created by the Istituto Italiano di Fotografia, the project is a Gilead Sciences initiative with the patronage of AIL (Associazione italiana contro le leucemie-linfomi e mieloma) and La Lampada di Aladino ETS.
