Meteorology Department Director Sinan Güneş reported a record-breaking wind speed of 182 kilometers per hour in Gemikonağı. This measurement surpasses the previous record of 171 kilometers per hour recorded in Serdarlı in November 2024.

Severe weather conditions, including heavy rainfall and strong winds, affected various regions including Güzelyurt and Beyarmudu. Significant precipitation exceeding 30 kilograms was recorded in Beyarmudu, Akdoğan, Kırıkkale, and Güzelyurt. Other areas such as Gemikonağı, Taşpınar, Kalkanlı, and Çayönü received between 20 and 30 kilograms of rain.

While the rainy weather mass was expected to leave the country by late afternoon, strong winds were predicted to persist in some areas. Temperatures are expected to return to seasonal norms following the storm, with a forecast of rising temperatures reaching 40-41 degrees Celsius by the beginning of next week.
