Criuleni farmer invests 8 million lei in tomato processing factory

Vasile Spînu, a farmer from Ratuș in the Criuleni district, has invested approximately eight million lei into modernizing a tomato processing factory. The facility, located near his five hectares of cultivated land, focuses on producing tomato juice to add value to his harvest. Spînu expects to recover a portion of the investment within the current season, with estimated yields of 70-80 tons of tomatoes per hectare.

The modernization has improved production efficiency and reduced manual labor through automated washing and inspection systems. The farmer also invested in modernizing agricultural land and constructing greenhouses using Italian technology to ensure a steady supply of both traditional and modern tomato varieties.
