Gemma opens new Italian restaurant in Basalt

Chef Angelo Elia has opened Gemma, a new Italian restaurant located in the former Free Range Kitchen space overlooking Basalt River Park in Basalt. The establishment focuses on handmade pastas and family recipes inspired by Elia’s upbringing in Salerno, Italy.

The menu features dishes such as homemade potato gnocchi pesto and melanzana, a traditional eggplant parmigiana based on Elia’s mother’s recipe. To accommodate different dining preferences, the restaurant offers pizza during lunch and brunch on Saturdays and Sundays from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., while dinner is served daily from 5:00 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. All pasta dishes are available gluten-free.
