Gen Kondo selected for Japan at 2026 Asian Para Games

Gen Kondo, an athlete affiliated with Sekisui Chemical Co., Ltd., has been selected as a representative for Japan in the 5th Aichi-Nagoya 2026 Asian Para Games. He will compete in the Men's Long Jump T63 and the Men's 100m T63.

Kondo has stated his goals are to win the long jump for the second consecutive tournament and to secure a medal in the 100m sprint. He is currently focusing his training on improving his takeoff stability for the long jump and developing an explosive start for the 100m to compensate for the time required to reach top speed with a prosthetic limb. The events are scheduled to take place at the Mizuho Park Athletics Stadium in Nagoya on October 21 and 23.
