Gen Z embraces ‘home tending’ social trend
A recent survey by Schweppes regarding the habits of individuals under 30 reveals a growing trend known as ‘home tending’. According to the study, 56% of Gen Z prefers spending evenings at home with friends rather than going out to clubs or bars.
This shift is described not as social withdrawal, but as a new way of approaching leisure, conviviality, and well-being. ‘Home tending’ involves transforming domestic spaces into curated entertainment venues, where young people take control of the environment through specific music playlists, lighting, menus, and organized activities like shared meals or themed movie nights.
