Gender equality and health initiatives launched in Venezuela and Spain

In Iribarren, Venezuela, the Municipal Institute of Women and Gender Equality (IMMI) organized a comprehensive health and awareness event at El Obelisco Recreational Park. Held in observance of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, the initiative provided women with gynecological, ultrasound, general medicine, and dental services, along with the distribution of vitamins and medications. The event also included educational talks on breast cancer prevention and self-examination.

In Épila, Spain, the Aragonese Institute of Women (IAM) held the IV Equality Workshops aimed at adolescents aged 15 to 17. Led by Director Inmaculada de Francisco, the sessions focused on fostering healthy relationships and gender equality. The workshops are part of the ‘#DaleUnfollowALaViolencia’ campaign, which encourages youth to identify and reject abusive behaviors in personal interactions and on social media.
