Gene Simmons distances himself from Democratic Party

Gene Simmons, the bassist and co-founder of the rock band KISS, has publicly distanced himself from the Democratic Party, stating he wants ‘nothing to do with’ the organization. During an appearance on the ‘Heretics’ podcast hosted by Andrew Gold, Simmons discussed his political evolution, noting that while he grew up ‘very liberal,’ his views have shifted significantly over the decades.

Simmons also addressed claims that his political stances have impacted his professional career. He indicated that he has lost several solo band performances due to his refusal to speak negatively about U.S. President Donald Trump. Regarding the presidency, Simmons emphasized respect for the office, stating that regardless of personal feelings toward the individual, the legitimacy of the election and the democratic process must be acknowledged.
