Gene Tierney and John F. Kennedy's relationship
Gene Tierney, a prominent actress during Hollywood's golden age, was the first love of John F. Kennedy before his presidency. The two met on the sets of 20th Century-Fox while Tierney was filming Dragonwyck.
Tierney, known for her roles in Laura and Leave Her to Heaven, was experiencing personal difficulties at the time, including a separation from designer Oleg Cassini and health struggles regarding her first child. Their intense relationship was later detailed by Tierney in her autobiography, Self-Portrait, published sixteen years after Kennedy's assassination.
