Generac Holdings Reports Q2 2026 Earnings and Institutional Share Purchases

Generac Holdings Inc. posted second‑quarter 2026 results showing net sales of $1.17 billion, an 11 % rise year‑over‑year, driven by a 29 % surge in its commercial‑and‑industrial segment to $556 million while residential sales slipped 2 % to $617 million. Net income rose to $143 million ($2.40 per share) from $74 million a year earlier, and adjusted net income reached $174 million ($2.91 per share). Adjusted EBITDA was $291 million, representing 24.8 % of sales, and free cash flow increased to $63 million.

During the quarter the company secured a global supply agreement with a leading hyperscale data‑center operator, committing nearly $700 million of generator volume for 2027, and later added a second hyperscale customer under negotiation. Institutional investors also expanded positions: Oddo BHF Asset Management Sas bought an additional 38,320 shares, raising its holding to 48,880 shares (about 0.08 % of outstanding stock). South Dakota Investment Council, Amundi, and other funds increased their stakes, while insider Norman P. Taffe sold 550 shares for $140,800.

These developments underscore Generac’s growing market presence in power solutions for data‑center infrastructure and continued investor confidence in its financial performance.
