Cancún opens registration for 100 million peso participatory budget

The Benito Juárez City Council in Cancún has launched the registration process for the 2027 Participatory Budget. A total of 100 million pesos will be allocated to fund community projects across 10 urban zones.

Residents can submit proposals individually or through organized groups. Eligible categories include public services, urban and rural infrastructure, public works, sustainable mobility, environmental protection, and public security. To participate, applicants must be residents of Benito Juárez with a valid voter ID from the National Electoral Institute (INE).

Registration is open from October 19 until November 13, 2026. Following the submission period, proposals will undergo a validation phase to ensure technical, financial, and legal feasibility.
