General Alvarado officials discuss agriculture and community affairs
In General Alvarado, Mayor Sebastián Ianantuony participated in the ‘Encuentro de Chacras Abiertas’ at the Miramar Experimental Farm. This initiative by the Buenos Aires Province Ministry of Agrarian Development focused on advancements in crop pollination and the potential for avocado cultivation. During the event, local officials discussed the regional impact of the ‘El Niño’ phenomenon with Fabián Alejandro Jaras, Director of Sustainability, Risks, and Emergencies for the Ministry.
Additionally, Mayor Ianantuony met with local clergy, including Father Luis Albóniga and the new parish priest of Otamendi, Juan Marcos Degl’Innocenti. Discussions included the upcoming pilgrimage to the Mar del Sur Chapel on October 17 and the significance of the Pope’s anticipated visit to Argentina.
Community initiatives in Miramar also include breast cancer awareness month, with local businesses encouraged to display pink decorations from October 12 to 17. Meanwhile, the TEKNÉ 194 technical training exhibition was scheduled for October 8, though some reports indicated a suspension of specific activities due to weather alerts.
