General Alvear proposes aircraft acquisition for anti-hail mitigation

Alejandro Molero, the Mayor of General Alvear, met with local producers to discuss strategies for sustaining anti-hail mitigation efforts in the Oasis Sur region.

Following discussions with Mendoza Governor Alfredo Cornejo and provincial ministers, a proposal has been formalized for General Alvear and San Rafael to each acquire an aircraft for hail mitigation. Under this plan, the province would provide the radar system, authorized powder magazines, and facilitate the acquisition of pyrotechnics. The municipal government is currently working with producers and local organizations to establish a financing scheme to ensure the continuity of the system for upcoming seasons.
