General Arturo Guarino visits Sondrio Provincial Command

Division General Arturo Guarino, the new Commander of the Lombardy Carabinieri Legion, conducted his first visit to the Sondrio Provincial Command on October 20, 2026. The visit included meetings with Prefect Anna Pavone and the President of the Court, Patrizio Gattari.

During his time at the Edoardo Alessi barracks, General Guarino met with officers and station commanders from across the province. He emphasized the importance of providing qualified service to citizens and ensuring that Carabinieri stations remain reliable references for local communities without excessive bureaucracy. He highlighted the need for security measures to be tailored to the specific sensitivities of the local social fabric, prioritizing external territory control services.
