General aviation sales reach 14.3 billion dollars in first half of 2026

According to the General Aviation Manufacturers Association (GAMA) second quarter 2026 report, the general aviation sector saw significant growth in the first half of the year. Total aircraft sales revenue rose by 15.5 percent to 14.3 billion dollars, while aircraft deliveries increased by 1.7 percent to 1,458 units.

Business jets experienced an 8.2 percent increase in deliveries, reaching 383 units. In contrast, piston-engine aircraft deliveries saw a 3.1 percent decline, falling to 786 units. Turboprop aircraft deliveries grew by 7.8 percent to 289 units.

Leading manufacturers by revenue include the US-based Gulfstream, which billed 5.1 billion dollars, and Canada-based Bombardier, which generated 2.7 billion dollars from 56 business jet sales. US-based Textron Aviation billed approximately 2 billion dollars for 333 aircraft, while Brazil-based Embraer recorded 1.3 billion dollars in revenue from 74 business jet deliveries.
