General Hospital to air Tony Geary tribute on Labor Day

General Hospital will air a special encore presentation on Labor Day, Monday, September 7, to honor the late actor Tony Geary. The tribute episode, which originally aired on February 20, 2026, commemorates the daytime icon following his death on December 14, 2025, at age 78.

The special features emotional scenes centered on Geary’s character, Luke Spencer. The episode depicts Luke’s daughter, Lulu, processing her father’s death after awakening from a coma. The tribute includes appearances and memories from several long-standing characters, including Laura, Sonny, Carly, Tracy, and Elizabeth.

Tony Geary joined the series in 1978 and became a central figure in one of daytime television’s most famous pairings. While his character exited the show off-screen in 2022, the tribute serves as a formal celebration of Geary’s legacy.
