Balkan region faces weather transition and hospital upgrades
The Balkan region is experiencing a transition from late summer warmth to autumnal weather patterns. In Greece, much of the country will see sunny conditions with temperatures reaching up to 32°C, though mountainous areas are expected to encounter localized rain and showers.
In North Macedonia and Bosnia and Herzegovina, a significant shift is forecasted. After periods of warmth exceeding 30°C, a cold air mass from the north is expected to cause temperatures to drop sharply, with some areas seeing lows between 5°C and 18°C. North Macedonia anticipates thunderstorms and heavy rain before the stabilization of cooler air.
In Croatia, the weather remains warm but is set to cool down by mid-week. Separately, the General Hospital Zadar has announced a major renovation of its pediatric department, involving an investment of over 5.2 million euros for energy efficiency and internal adaptation, supported by the Croatian Ministry of Health and European funds.
