General Motors plans new generation Chevrolet Equinox EV for 2029

General Motors is developing a second‑generation Chevrolet Equinox electric SUV that is slated to appear as a 2029 model, with a launch expected in late 2028 or early 2029. The upcoming version will move from the current shared BEV3 architecture to a dedicated lower‑cost BEV‑N platform, a shift GM says will improve packaging and reduce manufacturing expenses for its entry‑level electric vehicles.
