General Motors to launch Apple Wallet car keys for Cadillac, Chevrolet, and GMC

General Motors (GM) is expanding its digital vehicle access by rolling out Apple Wallet car keys across several of its brands, including Cadillac, Chevrolet, and GMC. The feature allows users to store digital keys on compatible iPhones (iPhone 11 and newer) and certain Apple Watch models, utilizing Ultra-Wideband and Bluetooth technology for secure unlocking, trunk access, and climate control.

The rollout includes a variety of upcoming and current models. Initial support is slated for the Cadillac Vistiq (2027), Optiq (2026-2027), and Lyriq (2025-2027). By December 2026, the expansion will include the Cadillac Escalade (2027) and Escalade IQ/IQL (2027), as well as the Chevrolet Suburban (2026-2027), Chevrolet Tahoe (2026-2027), and GMC Yukon and Yukon XL (2026-2027) variants. GM has indicated that support will continue to expand to additional vehicles over time.
