General Pico hosts fifth Provincial Children and Youth Book Fair

The fifth Provincial Children and Youth Book Fair has concluded in General Pico, La Pampa, following three days of activities focused on literature, reading, and writing. The event aimed to address contemporary themes related to childhood and adolescence through an integrated approach.

Pablo Lucero Álvarez, the Secretary of Culture for La Pampa, highlighted the importance of the fair's curation and its support for the local publishing industry and bookstores. The event also featured the revitalization of urban spaces, such as the Playón del Ferrocarril, for cultural use.

A key highlight of the closing ceremony was the presentation of awards and mentions from the Sociedad Argentina de Escritores (SADE) to young authors from various locations across the province. The next edition of the fair is scheduled to take place from October 8 to 11 at the MEDASUR in Santa Rosa.
