General Roberto Vannacci launches Futuro Nazionale party in Italy

The new political movement Futuro Nazionale was formally founded in Rome's Auditorium della Conciliazione, led by former army general Roberto Vannacci. The party's inaugural structure includes former Lega MEP Edoardo Ziello as treasurer, Massimiliano Simoni as national president, and former Rome mayor Gianni Alemanno, who is expected to join after his release from prison. Opposition parties such as Lega and Azione also voiced concerns, while some commentators suggested the party could eventually re‑align with the centre‑right.
