General Roca teenager dies after severe house fire burns

A 14-year-old boy named Alan has died after spending a month in critical condition at the Hospital Garrahan in Buenos Aires. He had suffered burns to approximately 80% of his body following a house fire in the San Martín neighborhood of General Roca on July 27.

During his hospitalization, the teenager underwent scheduled surgeries three times a week. His uncle, Maximiliano Montero, confirmed the death via social media, describing the boy as a fighter.

In a related development, authorities in General Roca detained a woman following reports of a fraudulent donation campaign. The woman had been collecting money from local merchants and residents, claiming the funds were intended to support the teenager's medical treatment. The family confirmed they had not authorized any such collection, and police intervened after she reportedly gathered significant sums through various methods.
