General Tadeusz Piskor honored with mural in Bór Kunowski
A mural has been unveiled in Bór Kunowski, located in the Brody municipality, to honor General Tadeusz Piskor. The artwork was placed on the wall of a former primary school that currently serves as a village community center.
General Piskor was a close collaborator of Marshal Józef Piłsudski and served as his general adjutant from November 1919 to July 1920. Born in Bór Kunowski in 1889, he was a member of the Polish Legions and played a significant role during the Polish-Soviet War, eventually serving as the head of the operational department of the Supreme Command.
Local officials, including the mayor of Brody, Ernest Kumek, stated that the mural serves as an accessible way to teach history and to demonstrate to local youth that small towns can be the starting point for great careers.
