Generali and Luiss University launch Transformation Hub for industrial relations

Generali and Luiss University have launched the ‘Transformation Hub’, a collaborative project designed to modernize industrial relations in Italy. The initiative brings together the insurance company, trade unions, and academic research to address contemporary challenges such as artificial intelligence, social sustainability, and demographic shifts.

Presented to the CNEL, the project has been recognized as a ‘good corporate practice’ for anticipating new regulations regarding worker participation in company management, capital, and profits. Under a three-year work plan coordinated by Luiss, the hub will combine applied research, impact analysis, and joint training programs for both managers and union representatives.

Giorgio Fossa, President of Luiss Guido Carli University, noted that the collaboration aims to advance industrial relations through participation, suggesting the model could eventually be replicated in other sectors and future labor contracts. Gianluca Perin, Country General Manager of Generali Italia, emphasized the goal of fostering a culture of participation supported by academic rigor and long-term vision.
