Castilla-La Mancha announces education and film production subsidies
The Government of Castilla-La Mancha has announced several regional initiatives. A budget of 200,000 euros has been allocated for feature film production grants, available to independent production companies from August 26 to September 8. This program aims to boost the local film sector and economic activity.
In education, the regional government is investing over 14.6 million euros to guarantee free nursery school education for children aged 2 to 3. This measure covers 341 schools and approximately 6,800 students across 305 municipalities, including Albacete, Ciudad Real, Cuenca, Guadalajara, and Toledo. The initiative is intended to support family work-life balance and rural population stability.
Separately, the Junta de Andalucía has confirmed that full free education for children aged zero will be effectively implemented starting next school year. This follows the current extension of free schooling to the one and two-year-old age groups.
