Generalitat de Catalunya leases 6,000sqm building in Barcelona

The Generalitat de Catalunya has leased a building exceeding 6,000 square meters in Barcelona's 22@ technological district to expand the operations of the Catalan Tax Agency (ATC). The lease for the property on Calle Cristóbal de Maurati is set for an initial period of nine years, with an option to extend for another three.

The new facility aims to accommodate the growing needs of the ATC, including the relocation of the Barcelonès Nord Territorial Office to improve citizen assistance and tax campaign services. Additionally, the space will house various units from the departments of Education and Vocational Training, Research and Universities, and Interior and Public Security.

Other entities scheduled to move to the building include the Agency for the Quality of the Catalan University System (AQU) and the Foundation for Research Centers in Catalonia (I-CERCA).
