Generalitat reconstructs eagle nests destroyed by Sierra de Espadán fire

The Generalitat is working to reconstruct two Bonelli eagle nests that were destroyed by a wildfire in the Sierra de Espadán. Because the species is listed as endangered in the Valencian Community, environmental agents used specialized vertical climbing techniques to rebuild the nesting platforms on difficult-to-access rocky cliffs.

This intervention aims to restore reproductive continuity for the raptors and assist in the environmental recovery of the nearly 9,600 hectares burned by the fire. The project is part of broader conservation measures led by the Vicepresidencia Tercera and Conselleria de Medio Ambiente, Infraestructuras, Territorio y de la Recuperación.
